It is still the same method of finding in women and men a biological explanation of their division, outside of social facts. For me this could never constitute a lesbian approach to women’s oppression, since it assumes that the basis of society or the beginning of society lies in heterosexuality.
The basis of society does lie in heterosexuality. Reproduction is how we propagate as people. We are biological entities. Furthermore we are dimorphic. We exist in two forms. This is not ideological. That doesn’t mean lesbians or otherwise don’t have place in society but it’s odd turn of phrase to suggest heterosexuality is in and of itself oppressive.
The conception of heterosexuality being desirable and homosexuality being undesirable is oppressive.
